Organic Goji Berries

Goji berries - native to the fertile valleys of Tibet and Mongolia, are also known as Chinese Wolfberries.

Goji berries are known to be one of the most nutritionally rich natural foods containing 19 amino acids, including 8 that are essential for life. They contain high levels of Vitamin C, Carotenoids, Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Zinc, Selenium, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin E (which is rarely found in fruits), 10% dietary fiber, 31% polysaccharides by weight, 16% protein by weight, Essential Fatty Acids and highest levels of naturally occuring age-defying activity due to its antioxidant properties.

Fresh goji berries are very tender and must be picked very carefully These berries are carefully dried in hot air tunnels and then undergo sorting and metal detection before being finally packed for shipment.

As a food, dried goji berries are eaten raw or cooked. Their taste is similar to that of raisins, although sometimes more drier, more tart and slightly less sweet. Dried goji berries are used to flavor soups in Chinese recipes. They can also be used in cereals or for baking.
